HIGH SPIRITS GUIDED TOUR

Meet the great entertainers of the 1800’s Ballarat Goldrush as they demonstrate their craft and regale you with stories when they first stepped onto the platform of the Ballarat Train Station so long ago.

This is a guided tour and performance and audiences will spend time on foot outside in the area around the Ballarat Train Station and The Goods Shed.

Afterwards, join their performers for a heritage cocktail at Itinerant Spirits, The Goods Shed.

Itinerant Spirits have created a Heritage themed Cherry-infused Gallivanter Gin Cocktail with Best’s Sparkling Shiraz, Turret Bakehouse Raspberry Jam and Honey and Rosemary. The Heritage Cocktail highlights ingredients that would have been common during the Goldrush era in Ballarat, such as cherry preserves and raspberry jam. Best’s Sparkling Shiraz was also invented in the area around the same time.

Join us at Itinerant Spirits as we wander through the world of whisky and wood. We'll be exploring how maturing spirits in varied types of oak and other woods impart intricate flavours, aromas, colours an characterisits to the final whisky. At this tasting we'll be sampling the following drams.

  • Glendalough 7 Year Old Single Malt Mizunara Finish Whiskey (Ireland)
  • Backwoods Shiraz Barrels Rye Whisky (Victoria)
